Classic Two-Day Itinerary

If you have enough time, a two-day, one-night trip is recommended. The pace is more comfortable, and you can experience both nature and culture.

• Day 1: In the morning, head to Guangwu Mountain (or Micang Mountain) and take the cable car to enjoy the mountain clouds and forest scenery. In the afternoon, return to the city and visit the Nankan Grottoes and the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall. In the evening, go to the Caoba Street night market for snacks and a taste of Bazhong’s everyday buzz.

Transport and Accommodation Guide

• Transport: Flights can arrive directly at Bazhong Enyang Airport. High-speed trains arrive at Bazhong East Railway Station, with the fastest journeys from Chengdu taking about 2.5 hours. There is currently no metro in the city, but buses cover the whole urban area. Taxi fares start at 5 yuan. For surrounding scenic areas, self-driving or taking a coach is recommended.
• Accommodation: If you like lively areas, choose somewhere near Jiangbei Avenue or Caoba Street in Bazhou District, where restaurants and night markets are concentrated. To experience the atmosphere of an ancient town, stay in a characterful inn in Enyang Ancient Town. If visiting Guangwu Mountain, it is recommended to stay in a guesthouse in Guangwu Mountain Town, making it easier to enter the mountain early the next morning.
