  • Morning: Take the high-speed train from downtown Chongqing to Fengdu Station in about 50 minutes, then take a taxi or bus to Fengdu Ghost City. It is recommended to start from the visitor center and follow the route upward via Naihe Bridge, Ghost Gate Pass, Huangquan Road, and Wangxiang Terrace, finally arriving at the Temple of the Son of Heaven. The full route takes about 3 hours.
  • Afternoon: After descending the mountain, try Fengdu spicy chicken and hulatke chaoshou in the county town. If time allows, take a taxi to visit Xueyu Cave, about 1.5 hours, and enjoy the coolness of the natural karst cave.

• Ticket Discounts: Tickets for Fengdu Ghost City are about 100 yuan in peak season and 70 yuan in low season. Students can enjoy half-price admission with valid ID. It is recommended to buy tickets online in advance, as they are usually cheaper than at the ticket window.
• Night Tour Experience: During some holidays, the scenic area opens night tours with light shows, creating a stronger atmosphere. However, separate tickets are required, and daytime and nighttime tickets are not interchangeable, so pay attention to your schedule.
• What to Wear: The Ghost City Scenic Area involves climbing quite a few steps, while the ground inside Xueyu Cave is slippery and the temperature difference is large. Be sure to wear non-slip, comfortable sneakers and bring a light jacket.
• Mental Preparation: The core of Fengdu Ghost City is folk culture centered on “punishing evil and promoting good.” It is not a scary haunted house, but scenes such as the Eighteen Levels of Hell feature fairly realistic sculptures.
