Here is a classic 3-day, 2-night itinerary for sightseeing and food—follow it and you can easily explore “International Zhuang”!

Classic 3-Day, 2-Night Itinerary

• Day 1 (Urban culture and local atmosphere): In the morning, visit the Hebei Museum to see national treasures. In the afternoon, stroll around Jiefang Square and Zhengtai Square to feel the city’s memories. • Transport guide: After arriving at Shijiazhuang Railway Station by high-speed rail, Metro Line 3 can take you directly to Wanlimiao and the museum. To reach Zhengding Ancient City, taking a taxi or cycling is recommended; it takes about 20 minutes from the city center to the ancient city. If driving, parking at Zhengding Ancient City is free.

• Ticket costs: Entry to Zhengding Ancient City itself is free. If you plan to visit the temple cluster, the 80-yuan “Four-Temple Combo Ticket” is better value. Hebei Museum must be reserved in advance through its official WeChat account and is closed on Mondays.
• Travel advice: At the railway station or when traveling longer distances, prioritize ride-hailing apps to avoid being taken on detours by unlicensed taxi drivers. Zhengding Night Market is very large, so walk around once first, then focus on stalls where local young people are lining up.
• Expectation management: The Zhaozhou Bridge scenic area is not large; its value lies in its historical significance. Pair it with Bailin Chan Temple to make the trip worthwhile. Zhengding Night Market is good for photos, but many snacks are similar, so it is best to randomly choose popular stalls with a crowd.
