• Day 1: In the morning, head to Liandao Scenic Area. Walk from Dashawan to Sumawan and check out the 2.5 km seaside boardwalk. At dusk, go to Xiliandao Fishing Village for a stunning sunset, then have seafood at a casual food stall on Liandao in the evening.

• Day 2: Watch the sunrise over the sea at Yangwotou early in the morning. Later in the morning, climb Yuntai Mountain by the Sea for a panoramic view of the mountains, sea, port, and city. In the afternoon, stroll around Lianyungang Old Street and take Republic-era-style photos. At night, go to Yanhe Lane for late-night snacks.

• Day 3: In the morning, visit Huaguo Mountain. Take the scenic shuttle bus directly to Yunv Peak, then visit Water Curtain Cave on the way down. In the afternoon, if time allows, you can go to Yuwan Scenic Area to play in the water and escape the heat, or head into the city to buy souvenirs before returning.

• Getting There: For high-speed rail, Lianyungang Railway Station is the best first choice, as it is close to the city center. To get to Liandao, take Tourist Bus Route 3. • Getting Around: There are tourist bus routes between scenic areas, including Routes 1, 3, and 5. Within the city, buses and taxis are both convenient. • Weather for Sea Views: Be sure to choose a bright sunny day for the seaside. On cloudy days, the water looks more yellowish, while only sunny days reveal the “glass sea.”
• Sun and Wind Protection: The UV rays by the sea are strong, so protect yourself from the sun throughout the trip. Sea breezes are strong in the morning and evening, so bring a light jacket.
• Monkeys on Huaguo Mountain: The macaques on the mountain are very clever. Never hold snacks or plastic bags in your hands, or they may get snatched.
• Buying Seafood: Do not buy low-priced seafood from roadside vendors, as it is easy to get caught out. It is better to go to proper shops or markets that offer cooking services.
