• Morning: Head to Qibao Ancient Town. It is recommended to enter from North Street and exit via South Street. On South Street, try the old-street tangyuan, haitang cake, and plain boiled lamb, while skipping disappointing snacks such as oversized meat skewers. After exploring, you can walk to Qibao Temple and climb the pagoda for a panoramic view.

• Afternoon: Go to Minhang Cultural Park, which has large free lawns and museums, making it ideal for a relaxing stroll. Afterward, you can visit Powerlong Museum to see an exhibition, or stop for coffee in a nearby commercial area.

• Evening: Find a local Shanghai restaurant near Qibao Street and try authentic Shanghai-style braised pork or eel strips in sizzling oil, soaking up the lively local atmosphere.

Day 2: Niche Photo Spots and a Riverside Sunset

• Morning: Check in at Deqiu Lixiang Valley, where you will find European-style castles, a small lake with black swans, and art installations throughout the area. Wear light-colored clothing for fairytale-like photos. After spending about 2-3 hours there, you can walk to the adjacent park area.

• Afternoon: Head to New Dream Hall, where yellow walls and green windows create an exotic atmosphere, giving the feeling of stepping into “Monument Valley” in an instant. It is best to go after 3 p.m., when the light is softer and the sun is less harsh.

• Dusk: Arrive at Duhang Ferry Terminal, an excellent spot for watching the sunset. Minpu Bridge and the old tall chimney, set against a warm golden sunset, create a strong industrial-style atmosphere. The 3rd and 4th floors of the ferry terminal also have riverside cafes and barbecue restaurants, making it very pleasant to sit back in the river breeze.

• Transportation: Qibao Ancient Town, Zhong’ou Street, Menghuayuan, and other places can be reached directly by metro. However, Deqiu Lixiang Valley, Menggu South, Duhang Ferry Terminal, and similar spots are less convenient by metro, so driving or taking a taxi is recommended.
• Pitfall reminders: The stone-paved roads in Qibao Ancient Town can be slippery, so wear non-slip shoes. Snack shops are crowded at noon on weekends, so visit during off-peak hours. Some check-in spots have a limited commercial atmosphere, so bring your own water and snacks.
